Tonner Says Goodbye to Sindy

I revived an email from Tonner earlier that stated they are at the end of their licensing of Sindy. They are having a nice sale so if you are still considering getting a Sindy doll now might be a good time.

Create Your Own Wilde Doll

I received an email earlier in the week from Wilde Imagination (one of Robert Tonner's divisions) about the new create a doll.
According to the email you can purchase a blank body and customize a resin Ellowyne or Evangeline doll. The resin bodies cost $250 for a blank Ellowyne or $295 for a blank Evangeline, each blank doll comes with a set of brown eyes and a set of blue eyes.
I wonder if they will eventually do this with the vinyl bodies as well.

A Few Wilde Girls

I've  been waiting a few weeks to share these pictures of Wilde Imagination's Amber Disquietude , Ellowyne Wilde Timid Tan Too and Ellowyne Going in Circles with you, but some of  the other posts got in the way.

First we have Amber just posing with the house plants and showing off that cute butterfly clip.

A  few weeks ago I took "Timid Tan Too" and "Going In Circles" outside for a quick photo shoot, before the weather became too cold. They really enjoyed posing by the trees.

who has prettier eyes?

Ellowyne Wilde "Going In Circles" by Wilde Imagination / Tonner

Today I want to introduce you to my first Ellowyne Wilde doll, I know she isn't the first one  I have written about, but she was the first one I purchased, Ellowyne Wilde "Going In Circle." She has painted green eyes and long dark brown rooted hair. Her lips are painted a light rose color and her finger nails and toe nails are painted pink. She is wearing a tank top strap dress with brown, pink, and green circles on it. She has on a rose colored jacket with three buttons, and four functional pockets. The jacket has a green flower with leaves attached to it. Under the skirt of her dress she has a petticoat in the same shade of green as the flower on her jacket. She is wearing green and gold patterned pantyhose and dark plum colored strappy heels. The heels have working straps that hold the shoes on, which I love because Timid Tan Too's shoes are always falling off. She is wearing a necklace with brown colored beads and the main "stone" is a light rose color.

She is extremely photogenic, as are all the Ellowynes. I love how her face looked in every picture I saw of her and that is why I chose her to start off my Ellowyne collection. She was released in 2011 and was limited edition of 1000 and has since sold out.

Ellowyne Wilde Timid Tan Too by Tonner/ Wilde Imagination

Awhile back I did a post about Amber Disquietude by Wilde and I figured it should be followed up with a post about the namesake of this line Ellowyne Wilde. I'm fortunate enough to have a family member that likes dolls almost as much as I do and she was at the event that Timid Tan Too was released at. Like all Ellowyne Wilde dolls she is 16 inches tall with 12 points of articulation. She has  silky, beautiful, long, blond hair in a ponytail with chin length layers framing her face. She is dressed in a beige tiered top that has fringe around the tiers and an embordered flower design on the front, the top also has lace sleeves. She has fringed, beige, capri pants and beige pump style heels with a knot design on the toes. She has lace tights and gold colored arm gauntlets. Her fingernails and toenails are painted pale pink. She has painted eyes oppose to insert glass eyes like Amber has. I think her painted eyes are gorgeous. She is limited edition of 125 and came with a certificate, and was even signed on her back by Robert Tonner.

This is my first truly blond Ellowyne Wilde doll, and I love her. Of course I love all my Ellowynes and you will be seeing more of them over time. There is something about their faces that I find sweet and elegant and I can't help myself but to buy more.

Amber Disquietude by Tonner Wilde Imaginaton

A few months ago I came across a blog that was reviewing an Ellowyne Wilde doll by Tonner. It got me curious about the doll line and even though I didn't care for the one being reviewed, I found several on wildeimagination.com that I loved. The one pictured today is Amber Disquietude. What attracted me to her was, first, I didn't have an Amber doll. Second she is wearing a butterfly print dress and a butterfly hair accessory ( I have a thing for butterflies). Finally the beautiful curly hair, even if it is a little on the stiff side so that the curls hold. She has blue insert eyes and is ball jointed, made of hard plastic with 12 points of articulation. She has a black velvet like choker, and black lace arm gauntlets. Her fingernails are painted a light peach color and her black heels have bows on the back. She has a black velvet like sash at her waist and the skirt of the dress is layered with the butterfly printed layer thinner than the under layer. She is 16 inches tall and just gorgeous.

There is quite a bit of variety in the Ellowyne line. Some of the dolls have painted eyes, others have insert eyes. Some have rooted hair others have wigs, both in an assortment of colors. Plus in addition to Amber there is Ellowyne, Prudence, Lissette and a few Rufus dolls. I have yet to purchase any of the last three, Rufus dolls aren't released very often. Eventually I'm sure I will come across one of each of these that captures my attention. Until then I guess I will be content with my Ellowynes and Amber.
